What an improvement! :-) You are moving from a nine-year-old operating
system (designed 12 years ago), to a six year old operating system that
doesn't run .net apps very well... so you ask on a .net newsgroup. That's
rich.
I do not know what you mean by "but it won't let me". Five years ago, when
I moved my home PC from Windows 95 to Windows 98, it certainly let me. I've
long since left Windows 98, so it is hard to give you much information about
how I did it.
You will get the best answers by doing two things:
1) Write down the error message you are getting, verbatim, so you can post
it correctly, and
2) Don't post it here. Post the error message and your specific question to
the newsgroup "microsoft.public.win98.setup"
(even better yet, move up to Windows XP right now, and skip Windows 98
entirely!)
