Recordset

The following code is from vb 6.

Does anyone know how to convert it to vb.net?

Thanks!

Private CMD As Command
Public CONN As New Connection

Public rsUsers As Recordset

Private Function MakeConnection() As Boolean

On Error GoTo MakeConnection_Err

If CONN.State <> adStateOpen Then
With CONN
.ConnectionString = "SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist
Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=SQL_TEST;Data Source=SERVER\SQLTEST"
.CursorLocation = adUseClient
.Open
End With
End If

MakeConnection = True
End Function

Public Function GetUsers() As Boolean
'// Retrieve the list of users from db and store to local recordset, if a db
connection is made

Dim sFile As String

If MakeConnection Then
'// Open the recordset from db
Set rsUsers = CONN.Execute("SELECT * FROM USERS")
'// Save to local disk
If Dir(App.Path & "\Users.rst") <> "" Then Kill App.Path & "\Users.rst"
rsUsers.Save App.Path & "\Users.rst"
GetUsers = True
Set CONN = Nothing
Else
MsgBox "A connection could not be made to the database.", vbExclamation
'MsgBox "A connection could not be made to the database. The existing
user list will be used.", vbExclamation
'// Open recordset from local disk
Set rsUsers = New Recordset
rsUsers.Open App.Path & "\Users.rst"
End If

End Function
