working with null

hello,

i've been working a lot lately w/ sql server 2000 and thus am accustomed to
working w/ null a lot.

now i'm building front ends to my db using vb .net. how do i work with null
in vb .net? that is -- how do i assign a value of null to a declared
parameter of say, type, date -- is this even possible? if i'm adding a new
row to a datatable, it'd be really nice to set a variable to null sometimes,
so that the field value for that row is null. even just adding null as a
literal value to a datarow would be ok, but that would be more cumbersome.
