"need help in the email implemented in vb.net"

hi
i am the student of the final year.i 've got a project of web
application server in the FYP.In this project i've taken the task of
email to email, sms and vice versa.
we 've got the codes but not as much powerful as i 'll require.
plz tell me that how the mails are connected to POP3 and SMTP servers
for receiving and sending.if u have got any compatabile code in the
VB.NET then it will be great helpful to me.I need inbox and other
properties like the yahoo in it.
i 'll need a quick response from u .

You will need to acquire a pop3 componenet to access mail - there are lots
on the web for .net but none are native to the framework. For sending mail
the default IIS smtp server would suffice using the native smtp classes.

Uzair,

For mail (including things as Pop3) seems this to be one of the best
websites, they started with Delphi however should now as well do dotNet.

I hope this helps?
