Get info from an excel file

Hello All:

I need to develop a .Net application to accept an Excel 97 file and display
information about it such as:
Number of worksheets
Number of external data sources, type of source
Number of macros
Number of addins used, name of addin
Security settings, although I'm really not sure what I want to show on this

Any suggestion, tip, etc, will be greatly appreciated,

Ramon

Hi Ramon

Here's a good URL that will help u to get a reference to the first sheet in
a workbook and then read. It is basically a Excel object model tutorial from
Microsoft from .NET Developer's Perspectiv
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...l/ExcelObj.asp

Hope this solves most of your queries
