_Ptrit in Visual Studio .Net 2003

I'm just starting programming in Visual C++, so forgive me if my
question is stupid...
I'm trying to use MTL (Matrix Template Library) for solving sistems of
equations. When I try to compile an example, I get the error:
"error C2039: '_Ptrit': is not a member of
'std'"
Am I suppose to use a different version of the std library? How can I
fix this problem to allow the MTL library to compile?
I don't know if I've been clear enough...
