Timer component

Hi

I've build a library dll using VS.NET C#, i needed to do an internal timed operation when my dll is referenced in other applications so i've used server components System.Timers.Timer, i've declared it as private member to my class, its enabled inside a method with certain logi

I've tested the dll in a sample application and i've had a major problem which is the application is not terminated from memory when i close the application and that only happens when the timer is enabled otherwise application terminates successfull

by the way, i've previously used the same way before and it worked, the only difference this time the elapsed event is using a shared resource which i believe it shouldn't be aproblem as everything should be terminated with the application, don't u agree

So is there an explanation for that?? or should i use something else like System.Threading.Timer?? and if i did, will it work out? can some one help!!
