How to work with Remote Files on Web Host?

Tim
Hi folks..

I'm having a problem with opening a web project on a remote host. The
reason is because the version of the Web project was created in Visual
Basic.NET standard 2003. Well, I went out and bought Visual Studio Pro
version 2002.. (I know, I'm an idiot!) and I get an error when trying to
open the web project stating the obvious .. (That I need to use a newer
version).. So I thought I'd try to add the files to a local project and
then copy it back to the web server over riding the current files on the
same? (At the host that is!).. Any ideas? I don't want to loose all my
..VB files, etc. because I have loads of them!

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am just confused. Aren't you using asp.net using vb script??? Have
you upgraded to latest version of ASP.net v1.1 Framework and .NET
Framework version 1.1??? If not please download them from Microsoft
site for free and try again.
It should work.

Hello..

The problem is that I created the site with Visual Basic.NET standard
edition and now want to alter it with Visual Basic.NET Pro version which
is one version older than the Standard version I used.. Originally I
used Visual Basic.Net Standard 2003, and now I'm using the pro version,
but NOT 2003, which means I can't alter the original files.. So I'm
going to have to make a backup copy of the web site, then delte all the
files, and then upload or import each file from the back up that I need
one at a time until the web site is ready to go again. What a pain!
