Save Dialog Box

Hi

I want to display save dialog box and display that file name in a text box
All I want to do is, On click of a button, display save dialog box and display that file name in a text box
Later this file name would be used to store some data

response.addheader approach does not work in this situation because my requirement is quiet different

Thank
Chan

you can first take input from user, in this situation the filename in a
textbox then display save dialog box and set filename and user just have to
click save button.

There are maybe more better options.

I just want to display save dialog box and get the file name from that
Then use it store some data

My question is, how to display the save dialog box
Like System.windows.forms.dialogbox in VB.Net
are there any such classes to use in asp.net

Thank

Hi Chan,

Are you a quizmaster, talking about a Save Dialog Box and than telling in
the last sentence of your reply that you want to use it on a asp.net page.

Do you want to download a file, than you can use the normal html (A anchor)
or and javaclient with a button commands for that. (This is not the best
place to ask this because it is not real dotnet but more HTML and
javascript)

Anyway I hope this helps something?
