Crystal Report prompt still showing, even though I pass param value to report

I followed the solution document at the

.. However, the Crystal Report prompt is still showing. The following
are my scenario, the platform, and partial code information.

1. Scenario: I am trying to pass the parameter value to an embedded
Crystal Report file from C#.NET application. The report binds to a SQL
Stored Procedure. The stored procedure expects a parameter value
passed in by the application.

2. The application is C# WinForm, VS.NET 2003, Crystal Report v10
Developer, Windows 2000 and XP.

3. Here are partial code:
CustomerBasic custBasic = new CustomerBasic();
ParameterValues pvCustPattern = new ParameterValues();
ParameterDiscreteValue pdvCustPattern = new ParameterDiscreteValue();
pdvCustPattern.Value = "A";
pvCustPattern.Add(pdvCustPattern);
