Error while building the .Net application

Hello All,
I have one Appliation writtein C#.
When I tried to Build this then following error is coming. Could u help me how to solve this.

"""Performing Pre-Build Event...
'nmake' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Project error: A tool returned an error code from the build event """
