Installing a Windows Service

I have created a simple windows service for testing. It installs just fine
with installutil if I use LocalSystem as the account. However, I get an
error if I set the account to user in VS and then try to install with
installutil. I am prompted for a user account and password during the
installation. I enter a user name and password that I can use to start an
already installed service. I get the following error: An exception occurred
during the Install phase.
System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The account name is invalid or does
not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified.

The account and password are definitely valid. In fact, if I install the
service with LocalSystem as the account and then go into the Services MMC
and change the account to the one I'd like to use it works fine. Does
anybody have any idea what's going on here. Thanks in advance.
