RAD Template?

I'm an MS Access developer who thinks he sees the handwriting on the
wall.

As soon as I get a significant block of free time, I intend to try
rewriting a couple of my more tactical applications using .NET with an
eye towards developing a template/general approach/object set that's
suited to RAD projects.

My theory is that if I can develop a methodology that will let me
create an application via .NET in, say, no more than 3 times the
manhours that it takes in MS Access; that it will become an acceptable
alternative to at least some of my clients.

Has anybody done anything in this vein?
