Getting unprintable margin

I thought I posted this question yesterday, but I'm not finding it today, so sorry if this is a repeat

Is there a way, without resorting to SDK calls, to get the unprintable margin of a printer? Even better, is there a sample of code someplace that uses this information

Environment: C#, .Net, 1.1 framework

TIA
Dave
