Application Events

RB
Hi, I have a couple of questions about application lifetime events.

1. Is Application_start() thread safe? The context of this question is can
I assume that a function or object within Application_start will only have 1
concurrent thread of execution and it isn't possible for 2+ users to start a
web app at the same time? I have a function that executes for about 30
seconds and I don't need to have that function called more than once per app
start.

2. When does Application_end() get called? What causes an application to
end?

TIA!
