ASP.NET Memory Leak on page

I have two search pages (basic and advanced) and each when opening either
of these two files inside Visual Studio for editing in the designer, the
pages freeze up and memory use goes through the roof (on the devenv.exe
process). I've replicated this problem on another system in the office. All
other files in the project work fine. And I am able to edit the code behind
for both search pages if I right click the file and go straight to the
code. When I compile the project all pages work as expected and without
problem.

Very confused and we haven't seen something like this before.

Thanks,
Dave
