Unable to generate a serializer ??

I was quite happily coding away when all of a sudden I started to get the following message: -

An exception occurred while trying to create an instance of SearchApp1.ViewsDisplay. The exception was "Unable to generate a serializer for type SearchApp1.CareRecordService.AuthenticationHeader from assembly <Unknown> because the assembly may be dynamic. Save the assembly and load it from disk to use it with XmlSerialization.".

This occurs when I try and open a UserControl that has SearchApp1.ViewsDisplay within it, the SearchApp1.CareRecordService.AuthenticationHeader object is a web reference??

Has anybody got any ideas why this weird problem is occuring and what I can do to sort it???

Thanks in advance

Andy

The compiler only pays attention to the "generate serialization assembly" option in release mode. I'd quite rather have this working in debug as well... is that possible? Paul
