C# Closing login form when main form opens

After the user login in i want to close the login form. I
can close it but it also closes the whole application.
Can anyone help.

That probably is because you made the application start running from your
login form.

You should start your application with your main form and open the login
form as a dialog during the loading event or so. Because of it being modal
the user won't be able to access the main form until the login is completed.
