wanted: solution for integrating help tooltips from a compiled html file.

P: n/a
Hi,

I've set up a helpsystem for my application using html help 1.x and the
dotnet HelpProvider object.
It's annoying that that you have to fill in the tooltips yourself (for
providing help on certain controls...).

I would like my list of tooltips centered in one place (the already used
help .chm file --> I was thinking of including a .html file with a list of
key/value pairs) and extract the strings to my application tooltips at
runtime.

I've red that this is possible I just don't know how... are there components
available to extract such a string from the compiled help, maybe a Win32 API
call? Any alternate solutions?

Please help!

Deepest Regards,

Bonna
