Interfacing with a USB device in C#

Hello,

I am trying to interface with a USB smart card scanner
using C#. The scanner came with a driver and a simple
example executable (no source code) that works. I have
never interfaced with a USB device before and need help
getting started. My thanks for any suggestions you can
offer.
