Server explorer causing crash

Hi,

Yesterday i fired up vs .net to finish up something i was coding, but on
opening the project vs crashed and stopped responding. My c++ projects still
work fine oddly enough. After failing to open all other c# and vb.net
projects i have (and also failure to create any new c# or vb.net project) i
accidently hovered over the server explorer icon in the left toolbar (the
one with toolbox, server explorer, ...) and poof .. same behaviour. A
dosbox comes up running mini-dump and then i'm left with a debug option and
restarting vs .net. I've tried repair and a complete reinstall of .net, but
neither solved the problem.
The winxp install i'm running on is pretty clean (2 weeks old) and i cant
remember changing anything since last time i ran vs .net. The one update i
did run was an IE6 patch, which i de-installed, but with no result for .net.
The other odd behaviour i have noticed is winxp complaining it cannot
reconnect all network drives on startup. Which makes no sense, since the
machine in question is not on a network. Could this be related ?

Any help would be appreciated.
