mailing labels

hi all,

i've been asked to provide a label printing facility
through a contact search web app on our intranet which i
created. They should be able to do ad hoc searches and
print labels from them- whether it be straight from
internet explorer or whether the dataset saves to file
and opens in, say, word, is not an issue. Either way will
be fine.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some through
information, or have any ideas on where to start? I've
heard crystal reports for .net has a mailing facility.
Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

Jano
