WinXP Welcome screen appears after installing VS .Net 2K3

Can someone tell me why I'm seeing the Windows XP Welcome screen after
installing Visual Studio .Net 2003?
....and more importantly, how do I go about getting rid of it? I don't want
my installation to default to my user, I just want to disable the user
that's causing the menu to come up, but my name is the only one that
appears.

Thanks
