Web Matrix editor: connecting to SQL database on LAN

I cannot presently download the MS Web Matrix manual because of PDF
constraints, but I need to find out how I can connect to an SQL database
on my LAN for simple admin update/modify/delete functions

Thanks in advance
Muench
