Converting bitmaps

Does anyone know how I can take something written on a
InkPicture and save it as a monochrome bitmap. I have
code that will take the data from the inkpicture, copies
it to the clipboard. The data is then retrieved and
saved as a bitmap... but I can't control if its
monochromatic. I need to be able to save the bmp files
in a smaller size.
