I want an application I wrote to work with mutiple versions of the .NET
framework. I found the following link helpful on the concepts, but not the
execution:
http://www.3leaf.com/default/articles/ea/SBS.aspx
The application settings form they show is not what I see in my Windows
Forms application when using VS 2003. I don't see an option anywhere in
the application properties form to specify the versions of the framework
the application can run with.
Also do I need to specify these settings for all my DLL's as well? Or just
one for the final EXE? Do the DLL's just attempt to run under the same
framework as the application EXE?
My application was originally written on (1.0) of the framework. During
the upgrade to (1.1) I did not use any new classes or methods that were not
available in (1.0). So I am 99% confident it should run on both versions.
Currently it will not even start when only (1.0) is installed. The error
at app start being that it can't find a file in the (1.1) version. Thus
the need for the settings file.
Thanks in advance,
