.NET passport installation screws up login

I just downloaded Newsgator, a news aggregator. For some inexplicable
reason, MS.NET also tried to install with it. I figured that it might
be required for the newsgator installation so I agreed to accept the
..NET intallation.

After .NET intalled, I noticed that my nice, easy, simple login became
hugely more complicated. My wife & I share this PC but we do not have
separate login profiles (at least I don't ever remember creating one
for her) nor do we have any security settings or needs that would
require us to maintain high security or privacy. Yet .NET is now
forcing me to login by clicking on my administrator profile. When the
PC hibernates, .NET completely shuts down the pc in the sense that I
also have to click on the pc administator icon to resume pc function.

My previous & desired settings were for automatic login which took me
straight to my desktop w. no mouse clicks in between. Upon
hibernation, any key click resume pc operation. Can anyone help me
get back to these settings? Will I have to remove/disable .NET
passport?
