error after installation

The Web server reported the following error when
attempting to create or open the Web project located at
the following
URL: 'http://localhost/WebApplication1'. 'HTTP/1.0 500
Error from proxy'.
is the error I get whenever I try to create a new web
project. I've seen reference to this on the internet so
other's are getting it too.

I've uninstalled and re-installed .net 2003 and IIS 3
times now. always brings up the same error.

anyone found a definite solution to this? Please help

Go to Internet Explorer->Tools->Internet Options->
Connections->Lan Settings->Advanced. Add the following
line to the Exceptions Text Area

http://localhost;localhost;http://127.0.0.1;127.0.0.1;
