Cannot change properties of a COM+ component.

I created a serviced component. I use the RegistrationHelper class to
install the component. After that I use the interop services to get access
to the COM admin so that I can programmatically change settings properties
of the component that are not accessible in .NET.

After I set the values of the component, I then call SaveChanges on the
application collection. When I go this, I get the error "Changes to this
object and its sub-objects have been disabled." What might the cause be. I
am using Windows 2003 server. I have done stuff like this before and it
worked so I do not know what is the problem now.
