Image Button won't work as Accept Button in IDE

I have two Image Buttons btnOk, btnCancel which used to
just be regular forms buttons. They worked fine when I
set them as the default Accept and Cancel buttons on a
Windows form. However, I deleted them and then created
two Image Buttons with the same names. Now, the IDE will
acknowledge that it sees them when I try to set the
properties, and it will even let me set them like normal
buttons. However, as soon as I click out of the
properties box, they reset to nothing.

So, I tried setting them manually in code when
initializing the form, and it works fine.

So why will it let me appear to set them in the ide and
then not accept the changes, but it works fine through
code.

Is this is a bug, or am I missing something?
