Response.ContentType Excel

I have a web form that contains a radio button list that
says either display the results of a query in a grid or
spreadsheet. The page has a submit button. In the
submit click event I have this code.

if (this.rbDisplay.SelectedItem.Value == "S")
{
this.dgTechAssign.DataSource = this.dsAssign;
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel";
EnableViewState = false;
}
this.dgTechAssign.DataBind ();

This causes the grid to be displayed in Excel, problem is
all the controls on the page are displayed in Excel.
What am I missing?
