Book recommendations

Wasn't able to find what I was looking for in the FAQ - there was a link to a
bibliography (through a roundabaout way) to here:
http://xml.coverpages.org/bib-strt.html
I also checked out the accu.org site and found some XML books, but it seemed a
bit thin, so I thought there might be quite a few not considered. Anyone know
of a better resource - kind of like "sorting through the dozens of XML books -
for Dummies"?

Or what the heck, just recommend a good book that explains the fundamentals
really well. If I go on to use XML professionally I'll get another book or 2
later. I just want one that explains things really well for a novice for right
now.
