Pushing the .Net Runtime

Maybe it's just my imagination, but I don't really see Microsoft pushing the
..Net runtime out there... you'd think they'd be including it in every
download and new product they ship. How are people going to have Internet
downloadables written using .Net if the user has to also find, download and
install the .Net framework also??

It's part of XP SP1. It is on windows update. It is shipped with W2K3
(32-bit version). They haven't shipped any other new products that I
know of? What do you want?
