Performance with passing images

Joe
I have some small images (~5k) that I transfer using a web service. I notice
it takes a long time to transfer several of these at a time.

If I was to open a web page with these same images, the images come across
almost immediate which makes me wonder what the difference is.

I convert the image into a string and back to an image once received. Is
there a more efficient way to do this?

Thanks

Hello Joe,

To have best performance you should pass Images as Binary64 to your
WS. I remember I tried two years ago to serialize images in a string
(even all pixels in integers) and finally I found the Binary64 way
much more efficient.

Regards,

Matthieu
