Connect a webservice over a proxy and exchange dataset?

Hello,

I'm in need of confirmation for 2 questions. I would be glad if anybody
could help me :

1) A client computer computer is going to connect a web service we'll create
with .Net. This client computer has access to the internet over a proxy
server where they should also enter their username and password to gain
internet access. I want to ask how can I configure my client application
which will run on this computer to access my web service? I saw the WebProxy
class but there is no option to set the username and password in this class?
Am I wrong?

2) I want to pass datasets (at least datatables) between the client and
webservice (in 2 way). I'll get a dataset from the service, modify and
return it back. The same should also be possible on opposite side, I'll pass
a dataset onto webservice and it'll return the modified dataset back where
we'll update it to our local database (Sql Server 2000). Is this possible?

Thanks in advance...

Yes, lots of examples show this.
