WebService - start and stop

MA
Hi all!

I have developed a webservice that writeing and reading files in different
folders.
I need to be able to start and stop this service by using a web interface
(start and stop button). But I canīt find any way to this. Any ideas?

And where can I see if this service is running?

Not sure what you mean by "start and stop this service" with respect to a web
service. A Web service is not a service in the same sense as a Windows
service; instead it is a way to call a function using a protocol of SOAP over
an HTTP request. Visual Studio hides all of the complexity of the SOAP
request by allowing you add a "Web Reference" to a web service. Doing this
adds a class to your project. The methods on the class will be the methods
exposed in your web service project. From your web application, you simply
create an instance of this new class and call the appropriate method. The
new class handles calling the web service for you.
