Hi. I've been using Vis C++ v7.1 for 6 months now. I've grown to love it.
But there is one thing that is driving me crazy, and I cannot find a solution
in the on-line help:
I'm viewing a source code file, say aaa.cpp in the "main" editor window
(with the tabs along the top). I want to view another source code file,
bbb.cpp. I also want aaa.cpp available, so I want bbb.cpp to appear in its
own tab, that is, a second tab in addition to aaa.cpp's tab.
But when I double click on bbb.cpp in the Solution Explorer (that is the way
I normally select files for editing) it puts bbb.cpp into the tabbed window
that aaa.cpp was in. I still have only one tab. aaa.cpp has been replaced.
I wanted bbb.cpp to go into its own tab: I wanted a second tab to get
created.
My work around to this is: I make some trivial edit to aaa.cpp, then I open
bbb.cpp. In this case, Vis C++ will put bbb.cpp into a second tab.
This is driving me insane :-) Any help would be appreciated.
