accessing object in parent form

Hi,
I'm doing my first big project with VC++ and I'm having a problem. I
have an application, within Form1 I have a binarywriter that is used to
write strings over a tcp connection. Some users have complained that
the client app, this one, is too big. I have created a "mini-client"
within the main app. Basically it's just another form included in
form1 that is called from the main menu.

My problem is: How can I access that binarywriter from the child
window?

Any time I try to access it, "writer is not a member of blah blah".
How can I make this object available to the child window?

Thanks for any help,
Nick
