get data in the controls

I have seen some code about get the data from listview controls to a
clipboard...

it depends on a classname of the listview...

Is there a way to get data from a tree controls?
get data from classview in vc6 , is it possible?

more,get data from any controls?
even if its classname is not default one(like "SysListView32").

any clues is welcome!
