Which edition/version of VC++/Visual Studio are you using?
Is this new behavior from a previously working installation, or has the
software never worked correctly?
What OS and patch level?
Do you run anti-virus software with current signatures? When did you scan
last?
Did you receive any error message (if so, please quote)?

In general, we'll need more and detailed information to help.
Based on your message (if the software has never worked correctly), I'd
suggest uninstalling and reinstalling.
If it used to work and has stopped working correctly, what changes have you
made to your system recently?
