GUI look and feel

P: n/a
Greetings all,

I am relatively new to programming and have some experience in C++ and Java.
I would like to be able to develop applications in Windows using C++ or
Visual C++ (maybe C#?). But what I would really like to learn is how to
develop my own look and feel (without “skinning”) for applications under
Windows. I think Apple’s iTunes is a good example of an application with
non-native GUI look and feel running on Windows.

Could someone who is knowledgeable on developing custom look and feels point
me on a detailed path or suggest some books that will help me achieve my
goals? If this is not the correct forum for this question, please direct me
to a suitable discussion group.

Many thanks.
