Compound files in dot net

I am converting an old app to dot net. The old app uses IStream and IStorage
to manage compound files. This creates a problem when compiling for dot net.

A header file like the following:

#include <stdio.h>
#incldue <windows.h>
#include <ole2.h>

class myclass
{
public:
....
bool readFromStream(IStream *stream);
...
};

creates the following error message:

c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003\Vc7\PlatformSDK\Include\OleIdl.h(642) : error C3383:
'IOleCache2::UpdateCache' : in an unmanaged class, a virtual member function
cannot have a managed type in the signature

I believe the error message is due to the fact that LPDATAOBJ is a pointer
to a managed type, and it appears in IOleCache2 as an argument to a virtual
function.
How do I get around this? Is there an inherent limitation in dot net that
prevents support of compound files by managed objects?

Thanks for any help.
