COM question - call to newly added interface function does not return when called from client

I inherited a COM service Visual Studio 6 project. I need to add a new
interface.
Now I have added the code to the IDL and all that... In client, I call this
new function
but it never returns. It hangs. All the other old functions still works
fine (returns).

Call is from client or test program from same machine. the COM is running
as service.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
