upgrade of .NET framework

I downloaded SQLExpress from Microsoft and .NET Framework 2.0 Beta too. I
removed previous version of .NET Framework and installed the new one
according to the instructions on the web. But, I can not open one single
existing project in .NET visual studio any more. The obvious problem is that
visual studio needs path to the new folder of Framework 2.0.

Where to set path of .NET framework?

VS 2002/2003 !?

What version of VS!?
VS2002/2003 need .NET 1.0/1.1 !

It is not designed to run against 2.0!
