MCppCodeDomProvider--emitting CodeTypeReferences for simple types

I am using the managed Cpp CodeDom provider. I am trying to emit
CodeTypeReferences for types that I will subsequently define elsewhere
as simple (i.e., non-reference) types such as enums. Is there a way
to prevent to ICodeGenerator from appending * to the generated C++
syntax when such type references are used as method return types? It
appears that unless the type is a known builtin simple type (such as
int or float), the generator appends *.

Thanks,
Eric
