Conversion from PC to Pocket pc

I have a communications test program written in Visual C++.
It uses the PC's serial port and excel database to save data.
I want to run this program on a pocker pc.

1. Do I need another compiler to use this program on a pocket pc? What
compiler?
2. Would I need to change my program to run on the pocket pc?
