tokenizing a file!

Hello
what is the best way to get access to each word in a document. i mean for
example if you have a file (text, dat, binary...) after you open the file and
get the document from it how can you get access to the individual words. the
reason for this is that i want to be able to change the attributes of the
word on the screen for example the colour, font and size of each word
separately and lets say i'm going to use a RichTextBox for displaying the
text on my dialog box.
Thanks for reading the message
Ehsan
