Is a Windows Message posted when an IP Address is assigned?

I'm connecting to a DHCP network and can detect when the network is
connected, but I need to wait for the IP address to be assigned before
proceding to the next procedure call. Is there a windows message or
something I can use to detect when the IP address is assigned?

Be gentle. I'm new to C++ and .NET. :)
