Assistance with VC6 internal compiler error?

A user in Japan is getting an internal compiler error in a template when
compiling the latest version of my library with Visual C++ 6 (old version,
I know). The previous version of my library worked and I didn't make that
many changes to the template code, so I think a workaround shouldn't be
difficult. A google search for VC++6 template bugs didn't yield anything
useful.

I don't use Visual C++ at all (I don't run Windows), so if anyone even has
VC++6 installed on their machine, I'd appreciate having a few short test
files compiled (each with a different workaround in place), in order to
find what changes are necessary.

Thanks.
