Bigger binary sizes in VC 7.0

Hi,
Hope I have got the right news group here. I am migrating my C++ code
from Visual C++ 6.0 to Visual Studio.Net version. I have noticed that the
binaries that are produced are upto 40% bigger in size than those produced
by VC 6.0.

Also, in VC6.0, we were using SGI-STL, which meant tht STL was inline,
whereas in VC7.0, we are using the Microsoft STL with is imported from
MSVCP71.dll using MSVCPRT.lib. I have used Multithreaded DLL as the C++ run
time library, which would link to MSVCR71.dll. Why is it still resulting in
bigger binaries?

Thanks in advance,
Madhu
